A camping we will go...

We have been thinking about our next family vacation pretty much ever since our last family vacation.  We definitely wanted to include some camping, if not for all of the trip, at least for some of it.  Since the only tent we own barely fits me and Taylor, we had to look into buying a family sized tent.  Our new tent arrived last week and Taylor pitched it in our back yard on Sunday.  Grady observed the process.

Although erecting the tent was interesting, Grady found much entertainment in picking up rocks and distributing them around the yard.  We have a small patio, bordered by river rocks.

if you look closely, you can see the rocks in his hands.

And the tent is up!

It pretty much took up the whole back yard; a testament to how big the tent is....or how small our back yard is.

After a wardrobe change (it was warmer outside than we expected), Grady enjoyed playing in the tent.

There is a screen room in the front of the tent.  Here Grady is crawling between rooms.

I have a feeling this little guy will enjoy sleeping (and playing) in the great outdoors.

I'm looking forward to future camping trips with the two boys in my life.

  2. We want to get out camping again soon too! Maybe we can cross paths on a camping trip sometime this spring, before it gets too hot. It's really going to be interesting with the Cortmonster.
