When we weren't going to weddings, botanical gardens, and museums, we spent our days at my parents house. My mom borrowed some gates to keep Grady from going up or down the stairs and put rubber bands around the cabinet doors, but that was the extent of the baby proofing. My dad didn't think he should have to put up any of his magazines, so there was a lot of 'no, don't touch that!' going around.
Here Grady is helping with some dishes. He likes to take the dishes out, even if they aren't clean yet.
Right next to my parents house is a little park with a playground and sandbox. The whole thing is fenced in so Grady could run around and I didn't have to worry about the cars driving by.
This was Grady's favorite place from the week. He loved the freedom he had to run. Taylor is playing scrabble on my Kindle. We almost always have an game going.
They had a really neat bush maze. Perfect height for someone Grady's size.
He made it to the middle of the maze with only a little guidance from his mom:-)
Grady threw quite the tantrum when it was time to leave the park, in fact, if I even picked him up for a few seconds while we were there, he squirmed his strong little body until I set him back down.
We had a great time in visiting my parents. If only they lived a little closer; that drive was a killer!
