We were on vacation last week at Virginia Beach, which is why there were no posts last week, unlike my usual one or two :). The first place we visited, even before checking into the hotel, was the aquarium. Taylor and I went here a few years ago, but it's changed a lot since then.
First there is the room of free-range turtles. They just wander around the room, so watch your step!
Then we past a stroller height aquarium. Grady loved watching the fish swim by.
next we saw the Kamodo Dragon, which Taylor thought was creepy.
then the alligators (or crocodiles?) not sure which.
The sting ray tank was there the last time we visited.
Grady wasn't quite big enough to pet a ray, but he enjoyed splashing in the tank.
and looking through the window...
if only the sting rays would swim up to the surface!!
There is a second building to the aquarium which is a good distance to walk to. Grady did most of it on his own, but Taylor carried him at the end when he started getting distracted by all the nature.
my favorite part (the sea lions!). They are hard to see, but there is one playing in the water and the rest are on the shore behind.
More to come on our Virginia Beach vacation...
